Functional Nutrition is a type of functional medicine that focuses on using healthy, natural foods to help people improve their health.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out of network provider and am not contracted with any particular insurance company. I operate on a fee-for-service system. Unfortuantely, nutritional services are not covered by insurance.

Can you do virtual visits?

Yes, all of our sessions can be virtual.

Can you order lab work?

Yes, I have accounts with Precision Analytical Laboratory, Evexia Diagnostics, and Oxford Biomedical Technologies. Routine lab work can be sent through your insurance company. The functional medicine specialty labs are not covered by most insurance policies. Affiliate Lab Accounts & Health Company Partners Precision Analytical Laboratory: DUTCH Test (measures hormones and organic acids). Evexia Diagnostics (multiple labs): GI MAP, SIBO, LabCorp, Genova Diagnostics, and SpectraCell Laboratories. Oxford Biomedical Technologies: Mediator Release Test (MRT) testing for food sensitivities. Quest Diagnostics: Routine and Specialty Labs. Health Supplements: Thorne, Pure Encapsulations, Microbiome Labs, and Fullscript. ProLon: 5-day fasting kits and bars.

Can you prescribe medication?

No, in this role I am working solely as a functional nutritionist and integrative wellness coach.

How do clients get supplements, lab kits, and the like?

Individual items can either be given to you at one-on-one sessions, personally delivered to your home, or mailed to you.

Do you order Radiology tests such as sonograms and CT scans?

No, I do not order any diagnostic radiology tests.
